Trevellya “Tee” Ford-Ahmed, PhD, is Communication/Media Director for the Mount Zion Black Culture Center located in Athens, Ohio, Professor Emerita, College of Arts & Humanities at West Virginia State University (WVSU), and a 2023 West Virginia Public Relations Hall of Fame Inductee. In 2021 & 2022 she was selected as a Diversity Scholar to the National Trusts for Historic Preservation’s Past Forward Conference. Tee earned a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from Ohio University, an MA in Interpersonal Communication from New York University, and a BFA in Theater Arts from the Art Institute of Chicago. Tee produced the narrative film River of Hope (2019), a true story of the founding of WVSU, a Historical Black College located near the Capitol City of Charleston. She has also produced shorts for both WVSU and Ohio University as well as the NEA funded Citizens Institute for Rural Design promo for Mount Zion.
