The Nord Family Foundation board of trustees approved grants totaling over $3M to be disbursed in Lorain and Cuyahoga counties in Ohio and other states at their February meeting.

The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation and the Higley Fund of the Cleveland Foundation lead major gifts of $500K and $100K, respectively, to the Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank to purchase its new headquarters in Cleveland’s Bellaire-Puritas neighborhood.

The Marion Community Foundation opened applications for its 2025 Scholarship Program, which will offer more than $500K in grant scholarships to students from Marion and the surrounding area.

The Raymond John Wean Foundation announced a Period Products Drive during March in honor of Women’s History Month.

The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile Jr. Foundation donated $50K to support the construction of a new skateboard park in Camp Washington.

The Piqua Community Foundation honored locals who demonstrated extraordinary commitment to volunteering in 2024 with the Scott J. and Margaret W. Hinsch Community Service Awards and a $2K grant on March 6.

The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio released the findings of a survey that gathered input from more than 3,000 women from seven central Ohio counties, revealing barriers to building wealth that impact women regardless of income level.
