I’m writing to share that after serving our organization for nearly 10 years, Deborah Aubert Thomas, president and CEO of Philanthropy Ohio, will be moving on to a national leadership position. Her last day will be June 18, 2024.

Ohio has a strong tradition of charitable giving, starting with the creation of the first community foundation in the world as well as thousands of private foundations, federated funds and corporations as well as millions of individuals. Each year, Philanthropy Ohio researches, analyzes and presents the most recent data on Ohio’s individual and organizational giving in our Ohio Gives report.
As funders locally and nationally seek to address racial equity internally and within their communities, Philanthropy Ohio launched a Racial Equity Capacity Assessment for Ohio foundations in Spring 2021 with the overview report and executive summary published in January 2022.
