                        Enjoy light refreshments, coffee and networking as you settle into the space.
10 a.m.           Welcome Remarks & Introductions
                        Please share your name, organization, role and tenure in philanthropy.
10:15 a.m.     What You Need to Know About the FAFSA (2024)
                        Hear from MorraLee Keller with the National College Attainment Network about the revised FAFSA form and changes to Expected Family Contribution calculations in 2024.
11:10 a.m.     Break
11:15 a.m.     The Current State of Ohio’s College Opportunity Grants (OCOG) Program
                       Barbara Hammer, Program Manager with the Ohio Department of Education will join to provide a remote update on OCOG and its implication   on your scholarship programs.
11:45 a.m.     Lunch & Conversation
                       Enjoy lunch and connecting to your peers statewide. 
12:15 p.m.     Peer Conversations and Discussions
                       Build your network of colleagues through Philanthropy Ohio and participate in rotating peer roundtables with others about your pressing scholarship questions.
1:30 p.m.       Closing Conversation
                       Spend a few moments reflecting on your day and addressing final questions for the full group of attendees before the end of the day’s program.
2 p.m.            Program Close

  • Awareness of how foundations are approaching their scholarship programs; and
  • Deepened connections to your peers in the Philanthropy Ohio network.

  • Donor development staff interested in better understanding the mechanics of scholarship programs; and
  • Leaders aiming to understand more about scholarship program management.
     


Please note that this program is intended to serve those with scholarship management responsibilities in their current roles. While other staff roles are welcome to attend, the content will be tailored to this audience.
