Cuyahoga River

Learn about Irishtown Bend Park and how it represents a generational opportunity to create a world-class, 23-acre park adjacent to the Cuyahoga River in the Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland. The park will unite people, history, nature and industry in an inclusive, equitable and accessible green space. It is championed by public, private and nonprofit partners, working together to preserve riverfront land and enhance community connections.

Visit the greenspaces along the banks of the Cuyahoga River with LAND studio and Ohio City Incorporated as they present the vision for this transformational project.

What you’ll take away

  • An understanding of how years of disinvestment and inequity continue to loom large in urban Cleveland;
  • An awareness of how local, place-based funders, nonprofits and public agencies can align their priorities to achieve sustainable development and change; and
  • Insight into how to leverage public space investments with intersecting priorities in various funding areas.

Who should attend

  1. Funders interested in learning about the vital role public spaces play in the health and well-being of individuals, families and communities; and
  2. Individuals committed to purposeful discussions identifying and addressing systemic inequities through public-private partnerships.
