The Burton D. Morgan Foundation awarded $3.2M in grants to support entrepreneurship in Northeast Ohio.

The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley awarded over $616K in grants to 58 nonprofits across the Valley.

The Raymond John Wean Foundation awarded $215K in grants to the Freedom Righteous Organizing Collaborative, the African American Male Wellness Agency and Organización Cívica y Cultural Hispana Americana Inc.

The Youngstown Foundation gave the Youngstown Playhouse a $60K grant to provide free tickets and performances.

Stuart’s Opera House and the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation entered a partnership with a multiyear gift from the Foundation to Stuart’s totaling $1M.

Bryan Area Foundation gave a $10K grant to Sandy Cay, Inc. to assist in renovating their north campus.

The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Ohio Arts Council, GAR Foundation, Akron Community Foundation, Goodyear and Great Work Employment Services provided additional support for the Akron Latin Festival.

Cleveland Metroparks received a $10.8M federal grant to support Irishtown Bend Park project with matched funds from LAND studio, which includes support from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation, the state of Ohio, the George Gund Foundation and other project donors.

The Van Wert County Foundation has awarded a $150K grant to construct a multi-purpose building just outside the south end zone of the historic Eggerss Stadium.

The Scioto Foundation announced the new Sharon Musser Scott Nursing Scholarship Fund, established by the Portsmouth native who has served the local area as a nurse and nurse educator.

Beck Center for the Arts will honor philanthropists Chuck and Char Fowler, Holley Fowler Martens, Chann Fowler-Spellman and The Char and Chuck Fowler Family Foundation at its 2024 Spotlight Gala fundraiser, “Illuminating the Future of the Arts,” on Oct. 11.
The Defiance Area Foundation’s Clothes for Kids program recently received a $1,000 grant from the Keith Hubbard Family Fund.

HOPE Toledo received a $50K donation from Huntington National Bank.

The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation Board of Trustees has approved $72K in grants to eight local organizations for mental health projects.

A grant from the Ashland County Community Foundation funded the development of the Johnny Appleseed exhibit at the Cleo Redd Fisher Museum.

The Community West Foundation awarded $1.14M in grants for the third quarter throughout Cleveland, western Cuyahoga County and Lorain County.

ServeOhio awarded more than $13M in AmeriCorps grants to support over 900 Ohio AmeriCorps members who will provide intensive service throughout the 2024-2025 program year to address locally identified needs.

Marion Community Foundation has approved $557K in Community Grants to 38 local organizations focusing on assisting programs for teens in Marion County.

The Troy Foundation Distribution Committee approved grants totaling $425K to 22 programs during the September meeting.
