The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation committed to donating a $70M gift to the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine on Thursday, January 16. 

The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Supporting Foundation has awarded a $90M matching grant to boost Cleveland's Jewish day school system.

The Greater Toledo Community Foundation announced the distribution of over $2.1M in grants across eight funding categories, supporting various initiatives throughout northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.  

The Ottawa County Community Foundation is accepting grant applications for the 2025-26 cycle.  

The Youngstown Foundation awarded a $4,551 grant to Youngstown State University to preserve McDonald Steel artifacts at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor, also known as the Steel Museum.  

The Defiance Dream Center awarded a $1K grant from the Keith Hubbard Family Fund, administered by the Defiance Area Foundation, to support efforts in fostering community growth and empowering individuals through its various programs.  

Coshocton Foundation awarded over $140K in grants to local organizations.  

ServeOhio, the state’s commission on service and volunteerism, has awarded a $1K grant to the Wright-Patt Credit Union’s Sunshine Community Fund to support its MLK Day of Service project in Dayton.  

The Stanley C. Gault Philanthropic Leadership Fund, administered by the Wayne County Community Foundation, awarded a grant of $100K to The Lyric Theater. 

The Ode Family Foundation and the Columbia Community Foundation gave a combined gift of $100K to fund the construction of Trinity House, a recovery center for women with children in Lorain County overcoming addiction. 

The 2025 Community Foundation of Shelby County scholarship applications are now available to local high school seniors, current college students and adults pursuing college, trade and technical schooling.
