In 100 words or less, share a summary of your role at Philanthropy Ohio.
My role is to coordinate communication pieces in various media channels as well as membership engagement, renewals and recruitment for Philanthropy Ohio. I also manage program communications and logistics, from announcement to evaluation.
What’s the best part about your job?
So far, my favorite part of my job is my team! They are all so passionate about the organization’s mission that it’s hard not to feel inspired. I felt incredibly welcomed as soon as I walked into the door!
When did you start work at Philanthropy Ohio?
I started on February 20, 2024.
Career background/education?
I have a formal education in communications and media production but found myself working closely with nonprofits. Since then, I have had experience with community engagement, public relations and communications for various member associations.
Current city, what you like about it and your hometown?
Columbus is a diverse community, and I love that I get to call it my home. I’ve lived all around the city and in various suburbs not too far away. My favorite part of living downtown was that there was always something going on and that I can try different things outside of my interests.
What’s something people might not know about you?
People don’t know that I am very competitive and will not back down from a challenge if I am certain I can win. However, I actively try to make any game fun for everyone involved, regardless of whether I win or lose.
What do you do outside of work?
When I’m not at work, I find myself active in the arts, nature, baking and education. I have a myriad of crafting projects in progress and love to be outside as much as possible with my dog. On the weekends, I lead art studio classes and experiment with baking sweet treats for my family and friends.
