The Nord Family Foundation Board of Trustees met on Oct. 26 and approved $3.19M in grants to disburse in Lorain and Cuyahoga counties and across multiple other states. 

Cuyahoga County passed issue 55, the cigarette tax, to raise $160M over the next ten years to fund Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.

PNC Foundation donated 400 coats to preschool students at Alta Head Start in Mineral Ridge and Youngstown.

Community Foundation for Crawford County raised awareness of its local impact and the importance of foundations in general during National Community Foundation Week from Nov. 12 - Nov. 18.

Van Wert Community Foundation will match donations up to $10K on Giving Tuesday on Dec. 3 to benefit organizations that hold a charitable organization endowment fund.

Community Foundations, Inc., an affiliate of The Columbus Foundation, awarded 11 grants of the Allen Eiry Fund totaling $198K to organizations serving senior citizens in Seneca County.

The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley will match donors' gifts on "Giving Tuesday And Beyond" on Dec. 3.

The Cleveland Foundation, The George Gund Foundation and the Fund for Our Economic Future provided initial funding for Power Up Local.

Foundation for Appalachian Ohio received a $1.5K donation from the National Cooperative Bank.

GAR Foundation awarded Akron Public Schools a $10K grant to provide a Bookworm Vending Machine and more than 500 books.

Ashland City Schools Foundation established an agreement to become an affiliate of Ashland County Community Foundation.

The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation established a new fund called the Richard & Janice Hoffman Scholarship Fund.
